David has been involved with two major heritage projects in East Anglia: the Hold (the new heritage centre for Suffolk), and the development of the Ipswich Museum. He was part of the project team for the creation of the Egypt Centre at Swansea University that houses the Egyptian collection of the pharmaceutical millionaire, Sir Henry Wellcome. He was a member of the project board for Managing a Masterpiece, based around the Stour Valley.
He has been involved with a collaborative regional heritage project, the Saxon Shore. This brought together a number of organisations in East Anglia to promote heritage tourism using Sutton Hoo as a focus. He is a partner member of the Abbey of St Edmund Heritage Partnership that is promoting the ecclesiastical remains in Bury St Edmunds.
David has a strong interest in the use of social media and new technologies to promote heritage and archaeology.
He is interested in working with heritage organisations to meet their training needs.
